How does the AI voice interview actually work?
Candidates click your unique link, answer 2–3 eliminatory questions to confirm they qualify (work authorization, availability, etc.), and then start a voice interview with our AI. The interview takes about 7 minutes and covers experience, soft skills, and motivation. Everything happens in the browser — no app download, no scheduling. You receive the ranked results the moment they finish.

Is the AI score reliable?
The score is a starting point, not a final verdict. Vocalinn flags the strongest candidates based on their answers — you listen, you decide. Every interview is recorded and available in full. GMs who've used it tell us the scores match their gut 80–90% of the time. The rest, you catch by listening. That's exactly how it should work.

What happens to candidates who don't speak English well?
Every candidate receives an English fluency score (fluent, good, basic) visible on their profile, so you can filter based on the role's requirements. For roles that don't need strong English — housekeeping, kitchen, maintenance — candidates can complete the entire interview in Spanish.

Can I customize the interview questions?
Yes. Every job template includes a default set of questions built for hotel roles, but you can add, remove, or reorder questions per vacancy. Eliminatory questions (work authorization, availability, physical requirements) are also configurable.

What if an interview goes wrong or the candidate has a bad experience?
Every interview is recorded and transcribed — you can listen to any interview to verify quality. If an interview fails due to a technical issue (dropped connection, unclear audio), it doesn't count toward your plan quota and the candidate can retry.

What counts as "one interview"?
An interview only counts when a candidate completes a voice interview with the AI. Pre-screening questions (the eliminatory ones) don't count — those are unlimited on every plan. If a candidate starts the voice interview but drops off mid-way, it only counts when the AI has enough data to produce a score.

You can delete any candidate's data on request at any time (GDPR/CCPA compliant). Only your account has access to your candidates — we never share or sell data to third parties.
